Get stronger, fitter and more mobile and join a supportive group of lovely local ladies at the PT-led, Strength Camp classes.  Suitable for all ages and experience levels.

Classes run 8.30-9.30am on Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays in Bramley / Wonersh.

Bookings are termly for one class day – BONUS – you can use up to 3 x class credits to swap to either of the other class days to offer you a little flexibility if there’s a few dates you can’t attend your regular class day.

Information about the Strength Camp classes:

Please bring your own:

  • exercise mat
  • water bottle
  • 1 set of small dumbbells (I suggest 2-4Kgs)

 

Wednesday & Sunday – Whole Body Strength – Class information:

  • You’ll build strength – stronger muscles, bones & connective tissues – the exercises focus is on building strength and therefore building lean muscle tissue through low-impact, bang-for-your-buck strengthening exercises.
  • You’ll build support and stability and mobility in muscles and around joints – I’m sure to coach you through a variety of planes of movement including building strength through length by working on end-range-of-movement exercises to build stronger, more stable functional joints by building more mobile muscles, tendons & ligaments.
  • You’ll receive expert PT coaching – I aim to provide as much coaching throughout the class as I do for my PT clients – helping you learn good technique, and how to recruit the right muscles, while working on improved posture and core support – which helps the exercises be as effective as can be for you.
  • You’ll improve your posture and core strength & stability – by learning proper technique and focussing on your frame, posture, building strength in the posterior chain and engaging your core during exercises – all of which I’ll be coaching you through.
  • Not a bootcamp – there’s no beasting yourself with burpees, shuttle runs & star jumps, it’s based on the fundamentals of strength training – think low-impact strength exercises like squats, lunges, hinges, pushes, pulls, raises, presses, planks and core work.
  • We will be using: Body weight, Resistance bands, Mini loop bands, Benches, Sliders and Handheld dumbbells throughout the expertly programmed class.
  • We work through a series of mini circuits to break up the workout into bite-sized chunks
  • Everyone works on their own mat – at their own pace – non-competitive environment
  • Scaled up or down variations of exercises including low impact options are given so you can work to the right level of challenge for you.

Fridays – Strength Fusion – Total Body & Core Sculpt – Class information:

  • A strength-based class designed to sculpt your body, with core and conditioning built in:The class helps you work on 5 important things:1) Strengthening and building muscle tone across the whole body – via both compound exercises that work multiple muscles at once (think squats / lunges / pushes / presses / pulls and rows) as well as targeted exercises that specifically challenge a particular muscle (think glutes / hips / arms and shoulders).2) Strengthening the Core & Abdominal muscles – via both targeted core exercises, as well as exercises using the core & mid-section muscles to keep you well supported during a whole-body movement.3) Improve cardio-respiratory fitness levels – via short bursts of high intensity movement (the pace of which is entirely scaleable, you work at a pace that challenges you appropriately). There is the option within some of the exercises to do a bit of high-impact (because it’s important that the body can cope with the forces of some impact) – but there’s always a low-impact option given.4) Move the whole body well – helping you become strong, supple & stable. The training in the class helps you move well in a variety of directions incorporating both the upper body, lower body and core to help you work the whole body as one functional unit, improving whole body strength, posture, balance, stability, mobility and good mind-to-muscle connection.

    5) Improve cognitive function – By moving in multiple directions, having to co-ordinate the upper body and lower body together and seeking strong mind-to-muscle connections means you’re getting a good deal of brain-training too.  This is important for cognitive function for the brain and body to work well together.

    PT – Coaching:
    This is a PT-led class, not an exercise-to-music class. I will be coaching and encouraging you throughout the exercises with technique pointers to give you all the cues I would give to my Personal Training clients – to help you achieve all of the above mentioned benefits of the class.

Termly booking – this is not a pay-as-you-go class.

Class members book termly, this helps them benefit from doing the activity regularly and routinely:  To up-skill, to build strength & stamina and to progress week-by-week.  You absolutely deserve to commit to yourself and your strength training to reap all the benefits.
